qqq Goes Apache 2.0
Big news: qqq is now Apache 2.0 licensed. Plus: new qBits for Stripe and Twilio integration.
The Big News: Apache 2.0
We're thrilled to announce that qqq is now licensed under Apache 2.0. This is a major shift from our previous AGPL license, and we believe it will make qqq accessible to many more developers and organizations.
Why the Change?
We heard from many of you that AGPL was a blocker for adoption. Legal teams at enterprises were hesitant, and some developers couldn't use qqq for client projects. Apache 2.0 removes these barriers while still protecting the open-source nature of the project.
What This Means for You
- Build anything - Commercial, proprietary, or open source
- Deploy anywhere - No disclosure requirements
- Keep your code private - No copyleft obligations
- Same great framework - Nothing changes about how qqq works
