Define and verify the changes that your application audits

Configure the framework audit features and persistence required by your application. Decide which operations and fields are recorded, who may read the history, and how sensitive values are excluded or masked.

Verify before/after values, user attribution, timestamps, failed operations, and retention behavior with actual writes. Audit data stored beside application data is not inherently immutable or a compliance certification. See audit logging.
