Verify the configured database and schema

For the app starter, verify MySQL is listening and that RDBMS_HOSTNAME, RDBMS_PORT, RDBMS_DATABASE_NAME, RDBMS_USERNAME, and RDBMS_PASSWORD match the intended development database. Test the same account with a database client. Do not print the credential while diagnosing.

A missing sample table requires the schema in the starter README. A successful TCP connection does not prove schema or permissions are correct: query a known row and verify insert/update readback in a test database. For slow queries or pool exhaustion, inspect database activity and query plans before changing pool sizes. See configuration.
